We need to do a better job of putting ourselves higher on our own ‘to do list’

I am an experienced psychotherapist who has worked in different settings in Edinburgh and London, both in the third sector and private practice. I believe I have a deep knowledge and understanding of the psychological and emotional issues that affect us all as human beings and that I am well placed to support you through your own individual process.

I will help you focus on your ‘emotional health’ as I believe this is something we all need to work on in order to keep it as healthy and balanced as possible. It is not an indulgence nor a luxury, but rather something we all deserve to do for ourselves and our families to create more fulfilling lives and better functioning relationships.

I can help you gain in the self-awareness, confidence and emotional intelligence to move forwards more positively in your life by applying the resilience strategies learnt in our sessions, and perhaps by having addressed what may have been some long-term issues that have been holding you back.

  • Individuals:
    One to one sessions enable you to bring any personal problems into a uniquely confidential space. In the safety of this relationship we can explore what the underlying issues might be and together work towards a better understanding of them.
  • Couples:
    Relationship work can be very healing as it can help couples work towards whatever outcome is necessary for them.. It may be to gain a better understanding of each other or to overcome a difficult period. It could also be to help them manage a separation as well as possible.
  • Young people:
    It is inspiring to work with young people who are open to facing up to their emotional challenges and to finding better ways of managing them. This journey will set them on a more self-aware and emotionally resilient path for the rest of their lives.
